Founded in Port Douglas in 2003 by the world record setting deep scuba team, built on the principals established during those recording breaking years (2000-2001), and Tech Dive Academy’s predecessor Atlantis Tech, based at the time in the Philippines.

Now near two decades later, our core team unchanged, we focus on Bespoke Private Training, Curated Dive Expeditions and supporting our divers with best in class Equipment Sales and Product Servicing.

The company remains family owned, and we do things a little bit differently to a typical dive store, which means, and we’re happy to admit it, we are not for everyone.

Training

As one of the industry pioneers of private programmes, we are often copied but never equaled, as our bespoke services are individually designed to Create Divers for Life.

Our focus is on developing the diver’s principal piece of equipment – themselves – a knowledgeable and sophisticated diver. To this end our courses are thorough, challenging and safely conducted. Our record speaks for itself. One thing is certain, whatever course you choose, you will have fun, be a better diver and leave with skills you might once thought impossible.

All training is with your own personal dive instructor ONE on ONE. Our multi award winning service and much lauded unique training methods draws customers from all over the world to dive with us whether it be here on the outer Great Barrier Reef, or any other magical locale worldwide.

Equipment – Sales and Service

We focus on best in class products and avoid getting lost in the chaos of mediocrity, of cheap, of discount or of doing things because everyone else is.

We are not necessarily the most expensive, but we focus on products, service and support that perfectly fits those that care about doing it right, YOU our customers and fellow divers.

Our service technicians are all Subject Specialists and Factory Trained, travelling to the likes of the USA, Italy and Singapore for training.

Diving

We dive locally, regionally, nationally and we also lead private expeditions and courses further afield – these have included in the past few years Japan, Mexico, Tonga, Vanuatu, Philippines, Taiwan, Egypt, Malta, Gibraltar, Scotland, Canada, Bahamas, Curacao, Florida, California, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua Nugini, Cocos Islands, Italy, Great Lakes, Argentina, Morocco and Libya. In fact you could say we’ve literally dived the ‘Seven Seas’.

Day Trips and Liveaboards

We offer our much lauded LUXE private charter on the Great Barrier Reef, whether it be day trips or overnight options.

Travel/Expeditions

Renowned for our private dive expeditions and off the beating track barefoot lux diving, in 2019 we introduced our annual Curated Collection of Expeditions, or give us your bucket list and let us create the ultimate experience.
